Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell reported that home visits conducted by agents with Arkansas Community Corrections on April 21 in Marshall lead to the arrest of five Searcy County residents.

  Cassell stated on April 21, Agents Cody Cassell and Jimmy Carter conducted a home visit at the residence of James Douglas Watkins, age 49, who is a parolee, and Nellie Leann Ford, age 47, in Marshall. After advising Watkins for the reason of the visit, agents began a search of residence looking for compliance checks.

  In the shared bedroom in a nightstand belonging to Watkins, agents located a pouch that contained multiple bags of a white crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine, a straw with white residue inside and a smoking device that contained a burned residue inside it.

  In a nightstand believed to belong to Ford, agents found two smoking devices that contained a burned residue and two yellow capsules.

  All of the evidence was collected and taken to the Searcy County Sheriff's Office. Charges were filed against Watkins and Ford but neither were taken into custody at the time of the visit.

  On the same date, Agents Cassell and Carter conducted a home visit at the residence of 50 year old Brady Lee Horton, who is on probation, on Endurance Road in Marshall. During the visit, agents found two bags that contained a white crystal-like substance and two glass smoking devices on a table by the bed. On the wall, they found a bag that contained multiple light bulbs with the filament removed and had burned residue inside them. They also found pens used to ingest methamphetamine. In the kitchen, they found a set of digital scales with a white powdery substance on it.

  All of the evidence was collected and taken to the Searcy County Sheriff's Office.

  Agents also conducted a home visit at the residence of 63 year old Donnie Wayne King of Marshall, who is on active probation. When agents arrived at King's home he was not home, but Mistie Brooke Hargrove, age 42, was there and allowed agents to enter. Once in the home, agents began a compliance check and found straws that contained a white powdery substance, a box with a white powdery substance on it, a bag that contained a substance believed to be methamphetamine, jewelry bags that had a white powdery residence in them.

  Hargrove told agents that all of evidence they found was hers. Before agents left the residence, King returned home and he told agents the evidence they found belonged to him and he stated he had "used earlier in the morning."

  All of the evidence was collected and taken to the Searcy County Sheriff's Office. Charges were filed against King and Hargrove.

  On April 27, 20th Judicial Prosecuting Attorney Carol Crews issued warrants of arrest for the individuals listed above. On Wednesday, April 28, Agents Cassell and Carter along with deputies of the Searcy County Sheriff's Office arrested all of the individuals and were transported to the Searcy County Detention Center where they were charged with the following:

  James Douglas Watkins was charged with felony possession of cocaine greater than 2GM but less than 10GM; and two counts of felony possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $2,500, which he posted and was released.

  Nellie Leann Ford was charged with two counts of felony possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $2,500, which she posted and was released.

  Brady Lee Horton was charged with two counts of felony possession of drug paraphernalia; felony possession of meth or cocaine greater than 2GM but less than 10GM; and felony possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to plant, prepare, pack or repack. No bond was allowed. He is currently being held in the Searcy County Detention Center.

  Donnie Wayne King was charged with felony possession of meth or cocaine greater than 2GM but less than 10GM; and two counts of felony possession of drug paraphernalia to ingest, to inhale meth or cocaine. No bond was allowed. He is currently being held in the Searcy County Detention Center.

  Mistie Brooke Hargrove was charged with felony possession of meth or cocaine greater than 2GM but less than 10GM; and two counts of felony possession of drug paraphernalia to ingest, to inhale meth or cocaine. Her bond was set at $5,000, which she posted and was released.
