On August 13, 64 year old Glenn Clinkenbeard of Everton was arrested following a dispute with his wife.
According to Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell, Searcy County Deputy Troy Dye was dispatched to a domestic dispute in progress at the Clinkenbeard residence located on Jasper Yell Road. The caller, Tammy Clinkenbeard, stated her husband was assaulting her and she had barricaded herself in the bedroom.
When Dye arrived on the scene, he learned that the Clinkenbeards had been drinking and a disagreement ensued. Mrs. Clinkenbeard said she went to the bedroom to rest and while sleeping Mr. Clinkenbeard began hitting her in the head. Dye noticed Mrs. Clinkenbeard had dried blood on the side of her head and left hand.
Mr. Clinkenbeard was arrested and transported to the Searcy County Detention Center where he was charged with 3rd degree domestic battering with purpose of causing injury. He is scheduled to appear in Searcy County Court on September 8 to answer the charges filed against him.
