11/23/2020

A Marshall man was arrested following an altercation that occurred on November 5 at a home on Old Trout Farm.

According to Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell, Searcy County Deputy Lt. Billy Cordell was dispatched to the scene after the sheriff's office received a call concerning a fight in progress. When Cordell arrived at the scene he learned that Toma Joseph Owen, age 27, of Marshall, had forced his way in the home through the front door and began a fight with the resident of the home.

Cordell also learned that Owen had gone to the home in an attempt to pick up property that belonged to someone other than the resident and Owen did not have permission to enter the residence.

The resident told authorities that when Owen did not receive permission to enter the residence, Owen forced his way in damaging the door.

Owen was arrested and transported to the Searcy County Detention Center where he was charged with first degree criminal mischief and criminal trespass.
