Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell reported on November 23, an early morning raid on Hwy. 65 in Saint Joe, resulted in the arrest of 57 year old Clinton F. Elliott of St. Joe. The arrest followed the execution of a search warrant and a joint investigation between the Searcy County Sheriff's Department, 20th Judicial Drug Task Force and the Marshall Police Department.

During the search of the residence and property, officers located a large amount of methamphetamines, as well as a large sum of cash money. Elliott is currently on probation because of prior felony arrests. He has now been charged with additional felony drug offenses resulting from November 23 operation.

Elliott was transported from the residence to the Searcy County Sheriff's Detention Center, where he is awaiting his first appearance in Searcy County Circuit Court.

Cassell extends his sincere thanks to the 20th Judicial Drug Task Force, 20th Judicial Prosecuting Attorney Carol Crews, Marshall Mayor Kevin Elliott, and the Marshall Police Department for their assistance to his agency and their support of protecting Searcy County and their continuing efforts to make it a safer place to live. Cassell continued by saying, "I appreciate everyone and all of their efforts in this recent arrest, but there is still a lot of work left for us to do."
