After violating the conditions of his bond, a Harriet man finds himself back in jail. According to Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell, on Friday, April 5, while in court on a pretrial date, Circuit Judge H. G. Foster revoked bond for Kenneth “Kenny” Harris, age 64.

At the time, Harris was out on bond and awaiting trial for drug offenses. Harris was originally charged in February for multiple felony and misdemeanor drug counts. While on bond, Harris was not to ingest or be in possession of any illegal narcotics.

Cassell stated that Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Benjamin Fruehauf requested that Harris be drug tested while in court for a pretrial date. After the results of the drug test were revealed, Harris showed to be positive for an illegal substance.

Harris was returned to the Searcy County Detention Center where he will be held until his trial date, which has not been set at this time.
