Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest on July 14

07/30/2019

On July 14, Searcy County Deputy Joey Baysinger arrested James Willard Tilley, age 41, of Marshall after he stopped him when he noticed both license plate lights were out.

During the traffic stop, he enlisted the aid of K9 Officer Holliman. During a conversation with officers, Tilley admitted he had a small amount of marijuana in the car, which he attempted to turn over to the officers. During a search of the vehicle, officers found a pipe which appeared to contain marijuana residue. Both were seized and taken to the Searcy County Detention Center where they were entered into evidence.

Tilley was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, Class A misdemeanor.
