On November 20, 2019, Arkansas State Trooper Tyler Pendarvis conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 65, in the area of Wiley's Cove.  The driver of the vehicle, Jeffery (Tubby) Myatt was allegedly speeding (1 to 15 over the limit).

While contacting Myatt and conducting an investigation, the trooper believed Myatt to be under the influence of narcotics.  Trooper Pendarvis contacted the Searcy County Sheriff's Department and Marshall Police Department, and requested a K-9.

After other agencies arrived on scene, Marshall P.D. Officer, Sam Holliman and his K-9 partner Asan, conducted an open air sniff around the Myatt vehicle.  After receiving a positive alert on the vehicle, Myatt was arrested for suspicion of DWI DRUGS, SPEEDING, POSSESSION  OF DRUG PARAPHERNLIA and POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE.

Myatt is currently being held in the Searcy County Detention Center pending a BOND REVOCATION.
