Levi Cole

Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell reported on January 30 that a Searcy County man, 25 year old Levi Cole of Marshall, was arrested following a traffic stop by Searcy County Deputies. Cassel said that during the stop, it was learned that Cole's driver's license had been suspended.

During a conversation with officers, Cole appeared nervous. When asked by law enforcement if there was anything illegal inside his vehicle, he stated there was not, and gave law enforcement permission to conduct a search.

During the search of the vehicle, a small bag containing a white residue that appeared to be crystal methamphetamine was located. A field narcotics test of the substance tested positive for methamphetamine. Also located inside the vehicle was an altered shotgun.

Cole was arrested and transported to the Searcy County Detention Center where Searcy County Prosecuting Attorney Benjamin Fruehauf filed charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, Class D felony and criminal use of a prohibited weapon, Class D felony.
