Hunter wanted in connection of stolen motorcycle

On January 31, Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell reported an affidavit of arrest had been issued for 28 year old Bradley James Hunter of St. Joe in connection with the theft of a motorcycle.

According to Cassell, in November of 2019, the owner of the stolen motorcycle contacted his office and reported she had purchased a 2005 Honda CRS 70 for her son. She said the motorcycle needed mechanic work and Bradley Hunter agreed to do the work on the vehicle.

Since taking the motorcycle, Hunter has refused to return it to its owner. When the owner went to Hunter's residence to retrieve the motorcycle, they learned the motorcycle was not there and had never been there.

Cassell stated the stolen motorcycle has been valued at approximately $1,500, which makes this violation a Class D felony. On February 7, Twentieth Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Carol Crews and Deputy Prosecutor Benjamin Fruehauf issued a warrant for Hunter's arrest, but he remains at large.

Cassell said anyone having any information concerning Hunter or his whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's office at (870) 448-2340.
