Man wanted in connection with theft arrested

 


  A St. Joe man wanted in connection with a motorcycle stolen in November of 2019 has been arrested. Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell reported that 26 year old Bradley James Hunter was arrested on March 7, 2020 in St. Joe.

  Cassell explained that he and Searcy County Chief Deputy Dewayne Pierce located Hunter living in a camper on Fantail Road. Cassell said when he knocked on the camper door, Pierce saw a curtain window move and saw Hunter inside.

  Inside the camper, Pierce located Hunter and placed him in handcuffs. Hunter was transported to the Searcy County Detention Center. Deputy Prosecutor Benjamin Fruehauf charged Hunter with theft of property of more than $1,000 but less than $5,000, Class D felony.

  Hunter appeared in the Searcy County Circuit Court on Tuesday, March 10 where his bond was set at $2,500. He is scheduled to appear for a pre-trial hearing on April 13.
