Alabama man arrested for drugs

 


  According to Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell, Jacob R. Wesley, age 43, of Sylvania, Alabama was arrested on March 6, by Searcy County Deputy Joey Baysinger while on patrol. According to Cassell, Baysinger conducted the stop on Wesley's vehicle at Hwy. 65 and Airport Road in Marshall.

  During the stop, Baysinger learned that Wesley was on parole. Baysinger was joined by Marshall K9 Officer Sam Holliman. While Baysinger ran Wesley's information through the crime information computer, he noticed Wesley was acting nervous and attempting to watch him through his mirror.

  After receiving permission from Wesley, Baysinger conducted a search of the vehicle and located a glass pipe consistent with ones used for smoking marijuana. During a pat down of Wesley, Holliman found a bag containing a green leafy substance and a glass pipe.

   Wesley was given a written citation for misdemeanor drug possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
