Fire claims local woman

  Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell reported on Saturday, March 14, at approximately 1:30 a.m. his office responded to a house fire at 1244 Hwy. 74 West near Dongola that claimed the life of Lynnette Wright.

  Cassell stated his office has opened an investigation in to the matter and will be assisted by the Arkansas State Police Fire Investigator. Even though the cause of fire is undetermined at this time, Cassell said no foul play is suspected.

  Cassell praised the response and actions of all the first responder personnel who responded to the scene.
