SCSO to limit access to the public
Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell announced his office will limit access to the public effective immediately.
"Due to recent medical issues facing the country and the state, we are going to limit access to the sheriff's office and county jail to the public for precautionary reasons," Cassell said.
Cassell explained if the public needs to file a report, they can continue to contact our office by phone, or come by the Sheriff's Office and a deputy will meet them outside to take the report. Cassell stated that until further notice, all inmate visitation has been cancelled along with church services that come to the jail.
Families can still visit inmates by using the phone system City Telecoin. Call 800-682-0707 to set up your phone.
For questions or more information, call 870-448-2340. If you have an emergency of any nature, dial 911. Cassell added, "This is not a state of panic, this is only precautionary for the time being."
