Domestic dispute ends in arrest

03/31/2020

According to Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell, on March 22 Deputy Troy Dye was dispatched to a domestic dispute between Dillon Paulk and Crystal Jones and a possible suicidal male on Old Hwy. 27 near Marshall.

When Dye arrived on scene, he found Paulk yelling from across the road. Paulk told the officers that Jones had been going through his phone and accused him of being unfaithful. After breaking Paulk's phone, Jones allegedly grabbed a pipe and began breaking out the tail lights on Paulk's truck. She also struck Paulk above the eye with the pipe.

Jones told the officers she and Paulk had been fighting over the Paulk's phone and he got angry and slapped her. She said Paulk also struck himself in his eye and told Jones that he "wasn't the only one who would be going to jail."

Paulk was arrested on scene and transported to the Searcy County Detention Center where he was charged with 3rd degree domestic battery, which is a misdemeanor offense. The incident remains open for further investigation.

The Marshall Police Department assisted in the incident.
