Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell reported on the evening of April 29, Searcy County Deputy Joey Baysinger conducted a traffic stop of a Ford Ranger driven by 20 year old Sarah Cox of Marshall on Hwy. 65 between Leslie and Marshall.

Cassell said while explaining the reason for the stop to Cox, Baysinger detected the odor of marijuana coming from her vehicle. At that time, Searcy County Deputy Troy Dye arrived on scene to assist Baysinger. After Cox gave permission, Baysinger and Dye conducted a search of the vehicle. During the search, they found two baggies containing a substance that appeared to be marijuana and multiple bags containing pills that were later identified as anti-depressants.

Cox was arrested and transported to the Searcy County Jail where she was charged with possession of Schedule VI narcotics, which is a Class B felony.
