Texas man arrested for meth

David W. Bowman, age 53, of Tyler, Texas was arrested on May 11 in Searcy County following a motorist assist stop in front of Stiles Metal on Hwy. 65.
According to Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell, Searcy County Deputy Joey Baysinger approached the vehicle that was parked on the side of the highway with the door open and noticed the driver, Bowman, appeared nervous and in a panic.
Bowman, who was driving on an expired driver's license, gave Baysinger permission to search his vehicle. During the search, Baysinger found a clear bag with a small white crystal substance in the bottom of it. After testing the substance with a Nar Tec Field test kit, it tested positive for crystal methamphetamine.
Bowman was transported to the Searcy County Detention Center where he was charged with felony possession of meth or cocaine.
