SC K-9 assists with drug arrest

Searcy County Deputy Joey Baysinger with his K-9 partner, Vader. Bobby Jack Sprinkle booked into the Searcy County Detention Center.

Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell reported on June 29, Bobby Jack Sprinkle, age 29, of Springfield, Missouri was arrested by Searcy County Deputy Kevin Trammell after he was seen driving at a high rate of speed on Hwy. 65 south of Marshall.

  According to Cassell, Trammell approached Sprinkle's vehicle and asked for his driver's license and proof of insurance, which he could not provide. After running Sprinkle's name with dispatch, he learned Sprinkle had a revoked Missouri driver's license for DUI and had drug related charges.

  Trammell asked Sprinkle for permission to search his vehicle but was denied. Trammell then contacted Searcy County Deputy Joey Baysinger to assist at the scene with his K-9 partner, Vader. Once on scene, Vader conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle and alerted positive on the vehicle.

  A search was conducted of the vehicle and officers located several drug paraphernalia items.

 

  Sprinkle was arrested and transported to the Searcy County Detention Center where he was charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
