Search at Glen Echo leads to arrest

On Tuesday afternoon, July 21, members of the Searcy County Sheriff's Department assisted by the 20th Judicial Drug Task Force and Marshall Police Department, served a search warrant on apartment number 12 at the Glen Echo Apartments in Leslie.

According to Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell, the warrant was executed because law enforcement had reason to believe stolen property was being held on the premises. During the search of the apartment, officers located narcotics, drug paraphernalia and stolen property and as a result, Darren Neil Patrick, age 39, of Leslie was arrested.

Cassell said Patrick was transported to the Searcy County Detention Center where he was charged with possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, Class B felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, Class B felony; possession of a controlled substance, morphine, Class D felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, Class D felony; operating a drug premises, Class D felony; possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, Class A misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, Class A misdemeanor.
