US Marshals arrest Searcy Co. man

Arrest information on Kenneth Davis Harris

Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell stated on August 12, 2020 the U.S. Marshals and Federal Special Reaction Team (SRT) arrived in Searcy County to locate and arrest 65 year old Searcy County resident Kenneth David Harris.

Harris was currently out on federal probation concerning federal charges he had been previously charged with. While out on probation, Harris committed another state crime involving narcotics equipment. Harris was taken into custody at his residence on Hwy. 14 and transported to a federal holding facility.

Also involved in the operation was the 20th Judicial Task Force under the direction of 20th Judicial Prosecutor Carol Crews, who has made Searcy County a priority at the request of Sheriff Cassell.

Searcy County Chief Deputy Dewayne Pierce said, "Other arrests are expected. Federal, State and local agencies have joined forces to dismantle the drug trade in our area. If you are involved in illegal drugs, or illegal activity, you will be arrested and you will pay the consequences for your actions. Our major focus is to protect the citizens of Searcy County and provide and safe community for everyone."
