Leslie site of holiday checkpoint

Searcy County Deputy Lt. Billy Cordell, Chief Deputy Dewayne Pierce and Deputy Sgt. Kevin Trammell conducted a sobriety checkpoint in Leslie on Labor Day, Monday, September 7. The checkpoint was held in connection with the state sponsored "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign. The purpose of the campaign is to remind individuals about the dangers of drinking and driving. During the checkpoint, Pierce said the operation was a success and hundreds of contacts were made.
