Missing teen found safe

  On Monday, September 14, at approximately 9:00 a.m. the Searcy County Sheriff's Office received a call concerning a missing Searcy County teenager. According to the caller, the female was last seen on Sunday at her place of employment in Marshall.

  Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell stated after following up on information received from the missing teen's family, his office learned the teen may be at a relative's home in Boone County.

  Cassell said his office made contact with the Boone County Sheriff's Office and learned that the address of the relative's home was in Harrison. Both Harrison Police Department officers and Boone County Sheriff's Office deputies were unable to locate the teen.

  At that time, the Searcy County Sheriff's Office issued a "be on the lookout" (BOLO) alert for the missing teen with special emphasis in Boone and Newton County.

  At 10:54 a.m., the juvenile was located by Searcy and Boone County authorities in Harrison.

  Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell extends his sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone involved in the search and safe recovery of the teenager.
