11/23/2020

Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell reported a routine traffic stop conducted on the evening of November 13, lead to the arrest of two people. Cassell stated Searcy County Deputy Troy Dye conducted the stop after he noticed a vehicle traveling northbound on Hwy. 65 driving left of the centerline.

After stopping the vehicle, Dye learned the driver Curtis Wyatt was driving on a suspended license and the passenger, 22 year of Amy Seals of Springdale, was not in possession of her driver's license. Dye was informed by Searcy County Dispatch that both Wyatt and Seals had multiple warrants from different counties in Arkansas.

While inventorying the vehicle, Dye found a set of scales that contained a crystal like substance. A Nar Tek field test kit was used on the scales and tested positive for crystal meth.

Both Seals and Wyatt were placed under arrest and transported to the Searcy County Detention Center where Seals was charged with felony possession of drug possession.
