Marshall man sentenced to ADC

11/23/2020

A Marshall man has been sentenced to the Arkansas Department of Corrections after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell said the warrant was issued after Kyle Watts Quintero, age 19, was arrested in September in relation to a probation violation that stemmed from a domestic abuse call.

Cassell explained on September 7, Searcy County Deputy Billy Cordell responded to a call concerning domestic abuse at a home in Leslie. When Cordell arrived on scene, he learned Quintero had assaulted the female living in the home and had threatened to hit her in the stomach knowing she was pregnant. Cordell observed visible marks on the victim's arm.

Quintero was arrested at that time and charged with first degree domestic battery, Class A felony and terrorist threatening, Class A misdemeanor.

On November 17, Searcy County Circuit Judge H. G. Foster sentenced Quintero to five (5) years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections for probation violation related to the above arrest.
