According to Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell, 38 year old Brandon Scott Miller of Harrison was arrested in the early morning hours of Monday, December 21 after attempting to flee from law enforcement officers.

Cassell said the pursuit happened after Searcy County Deputy Dakota English noticed Miller traveling on Hwy. 65 at a high rate of speed. When attempting to conduct a traffic stop on Miller, he fled in his vehicle reaching speeds of 90 plus miles per hour. Once Miller stopped, he attempted to bail out of the vehicle, but was taken into custody by English and assisted by Officer Sam Holliman with the Marshall Police Department, who had arrived on scene.

Miller was transported to the Searcy County Detention Center where he was charged with fleeing, Class D felony; reckless driving, Class A misdemeanor; and a traffic violation for fictitious tags.

According to Searcy County Chief Deputy Dewayne Pierce, his office is in the process of preparing arrest affidavits that will be presented to the prosecuting attorney.
