Welcoming the New Year

01/15/2021

To the residents of Searcy County:

I would like to take this opportunity to extend our best wishes for a wonderful and safe New Year from all of us at the Searcy County Sheriff's Office. We look forward to helping make 2021 a great year for our community.

Each year, our office strives to improve programs and services for our community. Even during the difficult times that 2020 brought, our office was able to complete a number of improvements and accomplishments for the community including holding a drug awareness program for the community; participating in numerous driving under the influence programs; participated in the Arkansas Attorney General's drug take back program; participated in the National Child Heatstroke Prevention campaign; held a Truck or Treat event for local children; and participated in a fundraising chili cook-off to benefit exploited children.

During 2020, the Searcy County Sheriff's Office received funding to purchase and help with training of a new K-9 deputy; attended an accident refresher course hosted by the Arkansas State Police; received funding to install a new CAD (computer assisted dispatch) system so department could operate at a better rate of efficiency; added a new k-9 Deputy, Vader; and received a donation of body armor for K-9 deputy; and exceeded number of overall arrests from previous year.

As always, my commitment to our community remains strong, and I will continue to work with you to improve the quality of life for each and every one of you. It is my pleasure to say "thank you" to our community as we wish you a full year of health, happiness, and success.

Please contact my office at 870-448-2340 if my staff and I can be of assistance.

Thank you,

Sheriff Kenny Cassell
