SCSO updates website

01/15/2021

Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell announced his office has a newly updated website. Cassell said the updated website was launched approximately four weeks ago.

Cassell explained Chief Deputy Dewayne Pierce and website designer, Brooks Jeffery Marketing in Mountain Home, were responsible for updating the site.

Cassell said, "As one of the nation's leading providers of law enforcement website and app solutions, Brooks Jeffery Marketing has the experience developing comprehensive websites and apps specifically designed to address the needs of law enforcement."

Pierce added, "Their websites provide a distinct advantage for their clients and understand the needs of their law enforcement clients. They have developed web-based communication tools which helps us keep our communities informed and safe."

Pierce added that the updated website assists the sheriff's office by offering a professional web presence; enhanced services to the citizens we serve through web-based technology; frequent notifications and information to our community including most wanted suspects; online jail rosters; sex offender locations and profiles; warrants; and messages concerning public safety; increases participation in community policing efforts; enhances the informational systems for criminal justice used by our office; and showcases the facilities, services, policies and staff of your office.

He explained the new website offers some of our most popular law enforcement website components including:

Department Pages - Criminal investigations, patrol, detention center, etc.

Press Releases - keep the public and media informed with frequent updates.

Special Message - from the sheriff, chief, captain.

Alert Notifications - allows the public to receive notifications via email, text or push notifications when updates are made to the website including sex offenders, most wanted, press releases.

Interactive Offender Maps - drug mapping, crime mapping, or violent/sex offender mapping.

Most Wanted - encourages community policing and assistance in capturing "Most Wanted" suspects.

Outstanding Warrants List - integrates with current records management system to automatically post and update a list of outstanding warrants.

Integrated Mobile App - integrates with website CMS and provides push notifications to smartphones and mobile devices; updates website and app from any location with an internet connection.

Pierce said, "The updated website, which features a new layout, is more navigable and more user friendly. It even reflects the colors of the Searcy County Sheriff's Office."

The updated site also offers direct links to the Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Sheriff's Association and the Searcy County Chamber of Commerce.  Information is still being added.
