Three arrested on drug charges

Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell reported on January 1, 2019, Searcy County deputies arrested three people in Searcy County on drug charges.

Cassell stated that the arrested occurred following a traffic stop on Hwy. 65 on a pickup truck containing three individuals. During the stop and during an investigation, deputies discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

Timothy Nolte of Springfield, Missouri, Ariel M. Widder of Harrison, Arkansas and Kendall D. Bunker of Clinton, Arkansas were arrested and taken to the Searcy County Jail where they were each charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance Schedule I and possession of a controlled substance Schedule II, all are Class D felonies.

All three individuals were being held in the Searcy County Detention Center. Bond was set at $5,000 for Nolte and $3,000 each for Widden and Bunker.

The trio is scheduled to appear in Searcy County Circuit Court on January 22 at 9:30 a.m. to answer the charges filed against them.
