Marshall man charged with theft

On April 21, Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell reported deputies were dispatched to a home in Harriet after his office received a call concerning a trespasser.

When Searcy County Deputies Troy Dye and Dakotah Springstead arrived at the home, they found 58 year old Larry Moe Massey of Marshall sitting in the woods. Massey told deputies he was digging up ginseng in the woods and was not on the homeowner's property.

Dye told Massey that he actually was on the homeowner's property and the homeowner had pictures of him on his property digging up ginseng.

Massey was charged with theft of property and criminal trespass.
