Multiple arrests in Searcy County

Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell reported these recent arrests:

On November 21, Searcy County Deputy Caleb Horn arrested 43 year old Jedediah J. Caplette of Leslie and 37 year old Lindsey Suzanne Blood of Omaha after he noticed the vehicle they were traveling in cross the centerline of Hwy. 66 near Leslie.

After approaching the vehicle, Horn asked the occupants of the vehicle for their driver's license. While running their information through the crime information computer, Horn identified Caplette as the driver, front seat passenger was Jessica Crittenden, and back seat passengers were Blood and Rufus Williams. Horn learned Williams was an active parolee with a search warrant on file and Blood had an active warrant out of Harrison.

During a search of the vehicle, law enforcement found a green leafy substance inside a metal container.

Caplette was cited for misdemeanor drug paraphernalia and driving left of center and was released. Blood was transported to Western Grove where she was taken into custody by the Harrison Police Department.

On November 20, Searcy County Deputy Caleb Horn arrested 21 year old Blake Arlis Sutterfield of Marshall after he noticed him walking into the entrance of the Glen Echo Apartments. When Horn approached Sutterfield he smelled the strong order of marijuana.

Horn asked Sutterfield if he had any marijuana on him. Sutterfield replied yes and produced a substance wrapped in brown paper from behind his ear. When asked if he had any other narcotics on him, he replied yes and produced a glass smoking device from his pants pocket that contained a dark substance.  Sutterfield was cited for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a scheduled VI LT 4 oz.

On November 20, Deputy Joey Baysinger arrested 56 year old William Hunter of St. Joe on Hwy. 65 near the Buffalo River bridge after stopping the truck Hunter was driving for expired tags. After running Hunter's information through the crime information computer, Baysinger learned Hunter was driving on a suspended driver's license and he was on parole with a search waiver on file. Hunter was charged with driving on a suspended license and no required insurance.

On November 19, Deputy Joey Baysinger arrested 50 year old Jeffery "Tubby" Myatt of Marshall on an outstanding arrest warrant after he stopped his truck at the corner of Lynn and Campus Streets in Marshall. After placing Myatt under arrest, Myatt stated that he wanted to press charges on a Marshall man who swerved his vehicle at him while driving on South Mountain Road. Myatt wrote a complaint which was attached to his arrest report.
