Warrant leads to narcotics arrest

09/14/2023

According to Sheriff Kenny Cassell, on September 11th, 2023, Deputy Caleb Horn observed a red Ford pickup traveling northbound on US 65. The deputy observed 22-year-old Austin Zwolle sitting in the front passenger seat. Horn knew Zwolle to have an active warrant for his arrest.

As the pickup pulled into a local business in Marshall, Deputy Horn contacted Zwolle, and a female known as 40-year-old Jessica Crittenden of Searcy County. While Horn was arresting Zwolle for the active arrest warrant, it was discovered that Zwolle had marijuana and oxycodone on his person. The deputy also detected the odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle, at which point he asked Jessica Crittenden and another individual, 25-year-old Hunter McKinney, to exit the vehicle.

Inside the vehicle Deputy Horn located narcotic smoking devices and a THC vape pen. Zwolle was arrested for the offense of possession of schedule 1 or schedule 2, less than 2 grams, which is a CLASS D Felony. He remains in the Searcy County detention center. Crittenden and McKinney were sighted and released at the scene.
