Sheriff Kenny Cassell states that on May 1, 2018, the Searcy County Sheriff's Department received a call from the Hwy. 66 Country Mart in regard to a Commercial Burglary of the business.  After arriving, officers observed the front window of the business broken, with a hole big enough for an average person to gain entry.  After confirming the business was not occupied by anyone, it was discovered that certain property had been stolen.

While reviewing the surveillance cameras, a vehicle can be seen passing the store, slowing down and stopping approximately 60 yards from the business and shutting off its lights.  This location is not a residence.   At 2:42 AM, two individuals enter the surveillance camera frame, and can be seen attempting to gain entry into the business through the front door. 

After unsuccessful attempts to pry open the door, one of the individuals breaks the window and gains entry.  The other individual walks to a vehicle and remains in the vehicle as the other individual steals property from inside the business.

On May 1, 2018, the same date as the burglary, it was confirmed that property from the burglary was transported to Harrison, AR, Harmon, AR and Yellville, AR.  While one of the individuals was seen on surveillance cameras in these locations, he appeared extremely nervous and left the store.  This individual was identified as Jessie E. Fletcher (AKA Jessie Sears) of Hot Springs, AR.  Although Fletcher / Sears has an address of Hot Springs, he is originally from this area and is known by law enforcement. 

Fletcher is seen on video with another individual identified by law enforcement.  The other individual will not be named at this time, due to investigation purposes however, the second individual can be positively identified as the person who entered into Hwy. 66 Country Mart on the night in question.  He too, is in possession of stolen property from the business, while in the company of Jessie Fletcher, AKA: Jessie Sears.

Jessie Fletcher / Sears has been charged with Commercial Burglary, a Class C Felony, Theft of Property, a Class D Felony and being a Habitual Offender.  No court date or bond has been set at this time.
