Firearm and Threats lead to arrest

Donald Bruazard

Sheriff Kenny Cassell reported that on Sunday, May 26, 2019, deputies with the Searcy County Sheriff's Department responded to a 911 call on Dogwood Lane in Searcy County.  The caller stated that an individual known as 34 year old Donald D. Bruazard of Harriet was at a residence with a firearm.  The caller further stated that Bruazard was threatening to shoot himself and another individual.

After arriving on scene, deputies Pierce, Cordell and Dye made contact with Bruazard who was in possession of a firearm.  Bruazard was immediate taken into custody and the firearm secured.  During the investigation, it was learned that Bruazard had also threatened the life of another individual prior to this date, and was in possession of a firearm when these threats were made.

Bruazard was transported to the Searcy County Detention Center where he awaits a first appearance and probable cause hearing.  Bruazard was arrested for two (2) counts of Terroristic Threats 1st Degree and two (2) counts of Aggravated Assault.  Both are class D Felonies.
